Dosages of herbal medicines are determined by by the nature of the pathogen, but also of the size and sensitivity of the person. As a general rule, doses of herbal medicines are much larger than pharmaceuticals. Where as, a daily pharmaceutical dose is usually less than 1 gram, herb decoctions usually require well over an ounce (28 gr) of whole dried herbs. Granules are concentrated 5:1 ( This means that 5 lbs of herbs are used to make 1 lb. of granules)
