Cordyseng Safety Cautions and Contraindications
Keep in mind that this particular combination is a modern herbal preparation, and has been in use for considerably less than 100 years. In the context of the great history and scope of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), this formula can be considered experimental.
Cordyseng is Gluten Free and Soy Free, but strict vegetarians should note that Cordyceps is partially an insect substance.
Though all the herbs in the formula are deemed safe, pregnant women and nursing mothers should consult with their health care provider before using Cordyseng or any supplement.
Avoid taking Cordyseng when ill with a cold or other acute respiratory condition, as the formula could, at least theoretically, prolong such an illness.
Cordyseng is intended for health care professionals or for those knowledgeable of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
TCM is powerful and reliable, but it can be complex. Self-diagnosis and self-treatment aren't usually recommended for long-term, chronic, reoccurring, or difficult issues.
