Ashwaganda combined with Chinese Herbs for Support of Reproductive Health
This interesting herbal supplement from Health Concerns combines traditional Chinese herbs with herbs from other traditions. It adds False Unicorn ( Helonias Diocia/Liliaceae), an herb long used to support menstruation and fertility. False Unicorn has also been used to normalize the reproductive system after discontinuing hormones or birth control pills.
The other addition is Ashwagandha (Withaniae Somniferae), one of the most often used herbs in Ayurvedic medicine. Ashwagandha has long been used for its restorative and immune strengthening properties. It has also been used as a geriatric tonic. It is known as “Indian Ginseng” because of these rejuvenating properties,. Though they share these general characteristics, these herbs are botanically unrelated.
Since Fertile Garden is a unique formula with only a short history of use, it's hard to say what the actions of these two herbs are within the context of the the formula's mix of Chinese herbs.
